18 Oct Sundays in October
October 17, 2021
Hello, my wonderful visitors, family and friends!
I am hoping for you, as I have found, that your October 2021 blends a rare mix of seasons. The Wisconsin weather heats the daytime as if we were late summer. Only the daily retreat of sunshine reveals that the calendar marches forward to mid-autumn.
Stories and stories abound of late garden harvests of tomatoes and peppers (and in my case, roses!!) I have discovered a particular fancy for pumpkins and roses, oranges and pinks and rusty reds.
Such nice, warm winds of this fall season lulls a person into a wonderful spirit of holiday preparations. Lit Halloween orange pumpkins brighten the long night even though we have not yet experienced the sting of frost. As I begin the preparation of plants for their winter sleep, I do so in the comfort of warm days, side by side with those cheery pumpkins.
And the most pleasant of warm, autumn winds…
Lots of love to you! (and of course, art!)
